I am always upgrading my system and am very picky about the parts I use. They have to perform well and be at a decent price for the performance. This drive was already on my short list and it was on sale during the latest prime days so I picked it up. My system is setup where I have the fastest drive for my OS, then I have a fast drive for my working files and then I have a larger area for larger file/archiving. For reference, The 7119 bench above is actually my c drive and the nvme three is way faster than my mobo can handle, so that bench shows the fastest my computer can go for accessing an pcie4 m2 nvme slot. The other 3 benchmarks are where this item clocked in at. Very awesome speeds! I wanted to consolidate my 1 tb and 2tb nvme drives that I already had into this 4tb drive to minimize parts and give an upgrade in performance across the board which I was able to accomplish. When I did partition this into 2 drives, there was a small performance hit on the write speeds for the smaller 1.5TB partition whereas the larger partition maintained the bench above. The write speed went down to 6100 on the smaller partition. The overall actual size of this drive is 3.76 TB. I am very happy with the performance of this drive even though I have never heard of or used this brand before. I will be getting another one of these in the upcoming months. Performance and price are fantastic for this.

Review summary

This is a an excellent storage solution that delivers top tier performance, efficiency, and dependability for modern computing needs. Whether you are upgrading a desktop motherboard, setting up a fast cache pool in a NAS, or sliding it into a high-speed external USB-C enclosure, this drive handles demanding workloads with effortless speed. Installed directly into a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot, performance is great. With sequential read speeds reaching up to 5000 MB/s on PCIe Gen 4.0 systems, large file transfers, game load times, and creative workflows happen almost instantaneously. Even when placed in a portable USB-C 3.2 enclosure, the drive maxes out interface bandwidth cleanly, transferring massive multi-gigabyte video folders without lagging or throttling. The streamlined single-sided design keeps thermal output low. Even during heavy, sustained file transfers, it runs surprisingly cool, meaning you do not necessarily need a massive aftermarket heatsink for standard desktop or enclosure use. The standard M.2 2280 form factor fits seamlessly into most modern PC motherboards, laptops, NAS trays. Built with trusted 3D NAND technology and backed by a 3-year limited warranty, it provides total peace of mind for safeguarding critical data, operating system boot drives, or creative media archives. Physical installation takes less than five minutes. Simply slot the drive into your M.2 connector, secure it with your motherboard's mounting screw, initialize and format the partition in Disk Management, and you are ready to roll. It offers the perfect balance of blistering speed, robust endurance, and brand-name reliability. It is a fantastic, worry-free upgrade that breathes incredible speed into any system.

This gave speeds exactly as good as promised, and better, showing a very strong 5,003MB/s reads and 4,361MB/s writes. The random 4k speeds were downright impressive, at 82.31MB/s reads and 248.96MB/s writes. One thing which did surprise me was that the drive was showing 98% health new out of the package and when having 0Gb writes- I think that must have been from the reliability tests the manufacturer uses, but I won't complain, it's good to see they really did do burn in tests and all of that for real. To satisfy myself of the drive's reliability I did a full write and verify loop of the entire drive and there were no data errors writing or reading reported across the entire test, so I'm very happy. Temperatures in particular impressed me- this kept reporting 40c, no matter what, even as my other drives fluctuated, and I began to wonder if it was actually reporting the temps at all. Touching it never felt hot even during the full verify test, and after a while I did see the temperature budge- down to 39c. This seems to hover near 40c no matter what, so it runs a bit hotter than average on idle, but stays cool even when writing data nonstop across the entire partition, and that's what matters. Fast, error-free and cool under intensive use, what more can I say? This is an excellent drive and I'm very happy I chose it. 5-stars!

Frequently asked questions

Why choose LUFASND?

Founded in 2015, LUFASN serves customers worldwide, with annual sales of approximately 400,000 to 1 million storage devices.

Our product portfolio covers a wide range of storage solutions, including:

• eMMC storage
• SD NAND flash
• SD memory cards
• Solid-state drives (SSDs)

In representative testing, drives maintained 100% health status, withoperating temperatures around 27-56°C, depending on the modeland workload.

With extensive industry experience, worldwide sales coverage, a broad product portfolio and data-driven testing, LUFASN provides practical storage solutions for computers, laptops, gaming systems, cameras, mobile devices and embedded applications.

Which product should I choose for gaming?

For gaming PCs and compatible consoles, choose an SSD based on your device’s supported interface and performance requirements. Gen 4 NVMe SSDs are ideal for high-performance systems, while Gen 3 NVMe SSDs are a practical choice for everyday gaming PCs and laptops.

Which SSD is best for an old laptop?

First check whether your laptop supports an M.2 NVMe SSD or a 2.5-inch SATA SSD. For many older laptops, a 2.5-inch SATA SSD is a simple and effective way to improve boot times, loading speed, and everyday responsiveness.

What capacity should I choose?

Choose capacity based on how you use your device. 256GB–512GB works well for basic files and everyday use, while 1TB or more is better for games, large projects, photos, videos, and growing storage needs.

What is the difference between SATA and NVMe SSDs?

SATA SSDs use the SATA interface and are widely compatible with older desktops and laptops. NVMe SSDs use the PCIe interface and generally offer much higher transfer speeds, making them better suited for modern systems and performance-focused workloads.

Can I use a microSD card for cameras?

Yes, as long as the card type, capacity, and speed rating are supported by your camera. Always check your device specifications before purchasing, especially when recording high-resolution photos or video.

What warranty or support does LUFASND offer?

Warranty coverage varies by product and is based on the applicable LUFASND warranty policy. For installation, compatibility, returns, or product support, please visit the Support Center or contact our support team.
